Training a.k.a holliday in Hard Rock Hotel Penang

15-16th May 2010 - I joined the FTTS Training organised by TM R&D to GITN as part of the FTTS agreement. This project is considered success with 26 schools migrated to FTTS SchoolNet. Training was held on 15th May (Saturday) only as scheduled. The course reminds me about Optical Communication subject I learned back in MMU. After 7 years left the subject, now then i apply it. Huh... By the way, millions thanks to TM R&D for their effort towards this project and workshop. What I can say is that Hard Rock Hotel is the coolest hotel I ever been so far....

This training was considered a vacation for me after the hectic schedule this week from Benta to KK.. hehe..:)

Site Visit in Sabah (Terian, Buayan & Longkongungan)

13th May 2010 - Rushed from Benta, Pahang after my presentation to the ITU-UUM Delegates, I went to Kota Kinabalu for site visit to the rural area in Sabah. The trip was exciting because of traveling 1 hour via hellicopter from KK airport. This is actuallay my 1st trip via heli to the suburb area.

From the sky, I can see clearly how beautiful our country is. The view of the cascaded waterfalls and stretches of the Crocker Hills and the wood was splendid.

The student in Terian, Buayan & Longkongungan mostly are Kadazan Dusun. What I can say is that they are very exciting welcoming us.

ITU-UUM visit to SchoolNet Project in SMK Benta

12th May 2010 - A week earlier I received an email informing about the visit by ITU-UUM (ITU stand for International Telecommunication Union) to one of the school in Pahang (SMK Benta) to witnessed how SchoolNet project is conducted in rural area. The visit was actually in conjuntion with "Malaysia National Workshop on Rural ICT Development" (refer http://itu.uum.edu.my). As usual, as the manager of SchoolNet project I was assigned to give a presentation to the delegates about SchoolNet and its role towards Rural ICT Development.



Early in the morning, I drove myself alone from KL to Benta, an area which I never been before. Based on information from my friends and google map that I've downloaded, the way wasn't much difficult to find, just around 3 hours from KL. Below is the pic of me doing the presentation to the delegates. Hehe..



I conducted the presentation within 1 hour and afther that rushed to KLIA to catch a plane to Kota Kinabalu for a site visit in Sabah.... Adios...!

Enjoying heaven's food in Penang & Meeting with TM Gov Sales Penang

29th April 2010 (Thursday)- The agenda of my trip to Penang is to attend a meeting with TM Gov Sales Penang. It was set up as our approach to assist TM Penang on solutions and product that GSB can offered to Gov sector in Penang, in line with 'One TM' approach. The trip consist of my Boss (Mr Nazri the taukeh funfair), Mastura, Ameen & myself. Depart from Subang airport via Fireflyz, is my 1st experience just like Awan Dania...ahahaha...

The trip was becoming 'topsy tuvy...' as the 1st nite at Penang we went to have a dinner at 3 places.. as my boss is 'orang penang' and thus act as the tour guide as well..the place that we went to are:

1. Jalan Kapitan Keling - makan chapati bakar kt kedai mamak old school..

2. Padang Kota - blasah pasemboq..
3. Nasi kandaq beratur - nama jalan tak ingat..

Going back to Bayview after that being so such full off...

The next morning.. again another crazy thing that we all did is to have breakfast at 2 places:
1. 'Apom melenggang' at Quins road

2. supposed nk try makan serabai at area USM, but kedai tutup..so just try special sandwitch..

Meeting with TM held at Seberang Perai...just doing our own presentation...after that pegi lunch Ikan Bawal Bakar dekat restorang bawah highway baru yg macam jambatan pulau pinang...tak ingat nama tempat tu apa...

Then, we went back to the hotel mandi2 and prepare to check out... after check out and before we catch our flight, we went to have Nyiur Jeli & ABC special dekat stadium lama Penang...after that beli roti banggali kt pekan..

Then, before went back to KL, we try our luck to find the incomparable Ayu Mee Udang at Teluk Kumbaq.... best giler mee udang die...
